Drag Brushing is an essential part of any astroturf pitch maintenance programme. Through general use the infill levels will be dispersed naturally towards the edges of the artificial pitch, away from the high-traffic areas. As the infill acts as the wearing course, it is essential that this is returned back to these high-use areas to prolong the life of the carpet.

Drag Brushing helps to achieve this and is normally carried out on a weekly basis (industry standard), with a Drag Brush or Mat attached behind a suitable grounds maintenance vehicle. Technical Surfaces can provide this service or supply various types of Drag Brush, Mats and other equipment through our AstroTech range, to allow this process to be carried out in-house.
